A Notice of Grant of the patent entitled "Compositions of Plant Carbohydrates as Dietary Supplements" was published in the Brazilian Industrial Property Journal on October 18, 2011. This brings the total number of patents related to our Ambrotose(R) technology to 52.

"This latest addition to our large patent portfolio reinforces our leadership position in the dietary supplement industry," said Robert A. New Nutrition Program: Mannatech Partners with Texas Woman's University

Texas Woman's University and nutritional supplement manufacturer Mannatech, Inc. have joined forces to create an online nutrition program to guide current and future health professionals.

"This course prepares students to deliver a prescription for a healthy body and sound mind through good nutrition and lifestyle practices," said Dr. Chandan Prasad, Professor and Chair of the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at TWU.

The curriculum, which includes comprehensive nutrition, integrative health and dietary supplementation information, is unique in that it provides guidance in how to effectively coach those interested in pursuing healthy behavioral changes.

“Even after decades of government-funded awareness campaigns, Americans continue to make poor choices about nutrition,” said Dr. Robert Sinnott, Co-CEO and Chief Science Officer of Mannatech. “Collectively, we don’t consume nearly enough fresh vegetables, fruit and dietary fiber and the vast majority of foods that people consume are extensively processed. This has contributed to a myriad of expensive health-related issues. There is clearly a need for properly trained ‘wellness coaches’ who can personally educate consumers about nutrition and healthy choices. Many of Mannatech’s 223,000 Associates* are passionate about wellness. We believe that this new training program offered by TWU, an accredited university with a world-recognized nutrition department, will create new opportunities for our Associates and other people interested in pursuing a career in the growing health and nutrition field.”

To guide the public toward dietary supplement messaging that is compliant with regulations established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the innovative TWU curriculum also includes a guest lecture from Dr. Sinnott about the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA). Individuals who successfully complete the program will receive a Certification of Completion of Training by TWU’s Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences.

Study Shows Mannatech's Ambrotose Complex Improves Well-Being in Healthy Adults

Mannatech announced findings from a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving more than 100 healthy adults and its Ambrotose(R) complex powder.

The controlled trial revealed a wide range of perceived benefits. The study compared the adults who consumed Ambrotose to those who consumed a placebo, and individuals who consumed the complex powder reported numerous health and well-being benefits following 12 weeks of intake. The study, conducted by Dr. Talitha Best and colleagues in Australia, was published in the peer-reviewed journal Applied Research in Quality of Life.

"Dr. Best has been committed to investigating the impact of plant saccharides, including Mannatech's Ambrotose complex, on brain function for more than six years," said Dr. Robert Sinnott, co-CEO and chief science officer of Mannatech."In this blinded study, healthy adults taking Ambrotose complex powder perceived numerous quality-of-life benefits, including some that have been confirmed by formal cognitive testing (1)+,(2)+*. Because our preclinical research suggests the product also provides gastrointestinal benefits, we were pleased that gastrointestinal effects were among the perceived benefits reported by individuals who consumed Ambrotose complex."

If You Knew Your Vitamins Were Made of Petroleum and Rocks Would You Switch?

The truth about what’s really in most vitamins is shocking. Coal tar, petroleum, rocks: they’re all common ingredients in synthetic supplements, which make up 95% of the nutritional supplement market in America alone. And ingredients like that simply aren’t absorbed well (if at all) by your body. Add to it that we typically don’t consume all the nutrients we need at the proper levels in our diet, and it’s no surprise that malnutrition is the #1 health risk in the world, affecting more than 925 million people worldwide.

Every day, more and more people are realizing that nature knows best. They’re making the switch. They're choosing food-sourced nutrition based on Real Food TechnologySM solutions. They’re choosing PhytoMatrix™ and Ambrotose® products. Why? Because they know what many don’t: that 95% of the multivitamin/mineral products on the market today are sourced from derivatives of coal tar, petroleum and rocks. And that’s not good. Find out more about how Mannatech’s products stand alone in a world of sleek synthetics. See this new video for the complete story.

Wouldn't you rather switch to a supplement that's real?

2011- A New Year of Great Prosperity!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I can't believe 2010 is gone! That year just flew by! 2010 was probably the fastest year that I've ever experienced! Lets just put it this way. I'm starting 2011 with a new baby girl! That's right! She'll be three months on January 6th. This time last year she was just a twinkle in my eye :). I feel truly blessed to have been granted the gift of parenthood. I didn't believe it until it actually happened, but it really does change your life, and how you see things in the world. Life has so much more meaning. I suppose one may not ever know what I'm talking about until it actually happens. I could get more into that but we'll have to save that for another day.

2011 is a New Year with sooo much ahead!  This year is going to be the most "positive, productive, dream achieving year ever!"  Why you ask? Well let me tell you! Mannatech is opening up in Mexico on the 24th of January! That is a mere 21 days away! I've been working on getting that ball rolling. Oh yeah I have! You see once Mannatech launches into Mexico it will literally spread and saturate throughout the country. Then Mannatech will commence opening up into Central America, and then South America! This isn't going to happen overnight. That's for sure. But, it has to start somewhere right? Well that somewhere is in Mexico.

I'm sure you may know of other supplement companies that are big worldwide (especially in Mexico). If you think those companies made a big impression, you haven't seen anything yet! Mannatech's Revolutionary Glyconutritional supplements are making a real impact at the cellular level. Real Food technology is what sets Mannatech apart from the rest. Also the fact that there are over 40 patents worldwide that protect Mannatech's proprietary technology and products. Yep! It's the makings of a world class Nutritional Company. "Eventually one company will emerge as the 'Microsoft' of the Nutraceutical Industry."  A substantial share of the world market will belong to those companies that provide the most unique, effective, and credible solutions to optimal health. Guess which company I have my money on!!!
